I Love My Clients

Last night I had the pleasure of hosting a celebration for one of my past client's one year anniversary. It seems like just yesterday we were tying up the loose ends of Jeannette and Scott's wedding, confirming all of the final details and making sure this day was everything the couple anticipated it to be.

The crew from Planet Zaya joined us for a night of laughter, marriage swapping stories, advice, and reminiscing about Scott and Jeannette's special day. One thing that I love about the wedding industry is the relationships I develop with the vendors and clients I work with. What a wonderful night!!!!

Wine Tasting at Home

This weekend I had the honor of hosting a wine party for my best friend's "Thirty Something Party!" It was nice to celebrate at home and have someone come in to educate us about the various wines. We learned some cool techniques that I am sure most of us will probably try, sampled wines, learned what we did and didn't like about the wines, I realized my best friend has a bionic nose that could actually smell the cherries in the wine! LOL! Overall it was a really fun night, that left us giggling, very happy ;-), but most importantly we were able to celebrate someone who is very
special to us all! :-)


The in home wine party is a really cool concept and is perfect for a birthday celebration, bridal shower, or for an intimate get together of friends. The JACCC (Japanese American Cultural and Community Center) in downtown Los Angeles is definitely a hidden gem. The garden is truly breathtaking! It is so serene, the flowers are beautiful, and the sounds of the flowing water make you feel totally relaxed. This location definitely takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The JACCC is perfect for the intimate wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner, shower or birthday celebration. The

MtJW goes to the Philippines!

Last month I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Philippines in search of the most spectacular wedding and honeymoon venues. I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the few coordinators from the Association of Wedding Professionals international to experience what the Philippines has to offer to their brides as a destination wedding location and honeymoon location.

I must say I was definitely impressed! First of all the hospitality was amazing. They had beautiful white sandy beaches and resorts that definitely took your mind off of work! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us. One thing I learned is Filipinos love to sing and dance which our tour guides had no problem showcasing their singing skills! The wedding venues were amazing, the service was impeccable, the wedding vendors were truly talented and most important....it was all affordable!

The Philippines' talented wedding vendors can help guarantee a unique wedding experience. Their prices were surprisingly very affordable and alot of the videographers and photographers are accustom to traveling to the US for weddings. Bridal Shows

You've recently gotten engaged and now your ready to start planning your wedding. A must for every bride...attend at least one bridal show during your wedding planning. Bridal shows are a lot of fun, you get to see some of the latest trends in decor, bridal attire, and cakes. Not to include you get to learn first hand about various venues. Include your bridesmaids, mother, or even your future mother-in-law and enjoy an informative wedding planning girls day. Add lunch to the day and you've created a way for your bridal party to get to know one another before your big day!

If your fiance doesn't seem too thrilled about attending the bridal show(s)...don't get upset! Most men would rather be at home in front of the tv watching the game as opposed to walking down the aisles ooohing and ahhhing over the latest wedding trends! That does not mean he doesn't love you and that he doesn't think the wedding planning is of importance! Trust me you are not the only bride to have to force her fiance to attend! Keep in mind guys don't envision their wedding day as little boys! We're the little princesses who dream about what our special day will be like when we marry Prince Charming!

A couple tips: Make sure you wear your comfy shoes, bring pre-made labels that include your name, grooms name, wedding date, address, email, and contact number for the vendors give-aways. Make sure you have an opportunity to "talk" to the vendors and not just grab their information and stuff them into your bags! If this vendor has the services you are seeking and may seem like a potential vendor for your wedding, separate their business information or make notes so that you are not confused once you get home. Bridal shows can be overwhelming but they are very beneficial if you take the time out to see what the vendors are offering! Here is a list of some of the upcoming January bridal shows.
